Doing the Impossible

Don’t set your goals low,
And spend your days without a fight,
Instead set your pointers to stars,
And claim them as your right.

As you spend your time,
You may think you have enough,
But as years pass you by,
How short life is, you’ll know it rough.

The doers of impossible,
Don’t sit and wait for things to come by,
They go out seeking the ideal,
And race towards the vision set high.

It is not the fame or the glory,
But rather, for them, always a burning why;
And so for you – go seek your stars tonight,
And bid them excuses goodbye.

Opportunities lie unseen,
Because you aren’t really looking,
Are focusing hard enough?
Are you truly seeking?

Take a step, and then another,
A thousand may be done;
But don’t assume your failure,
When you have trials none.

Your life needs you to take the leap,
It wants your courage to show;
Great risks that you may take,
Undeterred by the worldly blow.

If one fails, try again, or another,
Believe in your goal,
The doers of impossible do so,
they see it true with their heart and soul.

~

Is it the fear that keeps you back,
of judgment, of criticism and so?
Fill yourself with love instead,
And of your doubts let go.

You can, you will, you must,
Make good of what you have now,
There is a door for you opened,
Believe, don’t worry about how.

The stage is set for you,
Will you just step out and play?
The truest joy is in the game,
The falls are guides on the way.

So don’t set your goals low,
And spend your days without a fight,
Instead set your pointers to stars,
And claim them as your right.

Start little, take that step,
It might hurt, it might kill you if you fail,
But what good have you with your life done,
If you for the great oceans never set out to sail.
